This policy explains what information CollegiateD collects and how it is used. Questions or requests: support@collegiated.com.

Information you give us

  • Messages and forms: if you contact us, report an error or suggest a resource, we receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address and message, and use them only to respond and improve the site.
  • Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address to send the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: like most websites, our servers record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
  • Analytics: CollegiateD does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, this page will say which service is used and what it collects before it is switched on.

Our tools

Our calculators, budget planner, timetable builder and word counter run in your browser. What you type stays on your device. The budget planner and citation generator can save your entries in your browser's local storage so they are there next time; clearing your browser data removes them.

When you use the citation generator's auto-fill, the link, DOI or ISBN you enter is sent to our server, which looks it up with public bibliographic services such as Crossref. We do not use those look-ups to identify you.

Cookies

CollegiateD does not set cookies when you read the site or use the tools. The tools use your browser's local storage instead, as described above, which you can clear at any time.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, such as hosting and email delivery, and only as needed for that service, or when the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the UK, the European Union, Canada and some US states, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to how it is used. Email support@collegiated.com to make a request.

Children

CollegiateD is written for students of college age and the adults around them. It is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
